I'm 24 yr old guy. I know this 38 yr old woman from a while ago, and I exchanged contacts. We become friends through email. After several months, I was thinking that I ask her to meet up for drinks/lunch/dinner. The thing is, I kind of ask myself, would she think that I'm asking her out on a date? I was kind of specific that we're just friends. If you were her, what'd you think of me?

Well, considering that you guys have been talking on email for a while, I highly doubt that she thinks you're hitting on her. I have had a penpal over the internet for 2 years now, and we're still planning on meeting up with each other. If you want her to think that you want to be more than just friends, when you meet up, take her some place nice. If you want to make sure that you guys are just friends then bring her to a place that you guys both enjoy and will have fun at. :]

If I was her I would think nothing of it, because You never made it clear to her that you guys were more than friends or that you were intending on making it more than what it is. Oh yeah, depending on how often you guys communicate and what you guys talk about, she might get the wrong idea.

It sounds terrible yet i know for a certainty that they specially situations gossip approximately one yet another. the two way is say I quite have some buddies who're the two honest climate buddies and a few who're like sisters to me.

Sometimes people miss read the DATE with just FRIENDS METING to know and see each other.
Just see her as you fell - like a friend and don't worry. You didn't tell her you loved her or gave her any reasons to love you.
God Bless You

She'll probably think that very thought. Tell her up front your intentions. Hell, you'll never know hers unless you ask. It's better to get that out in the open.

It is impossible for us to answer for her. I suggest you clarify your intentions. Tell her you enjoy her friendship and would like to take her out ...as friends. If your intentions are otherwise, then state that position.
Keep it simple and all will be well.
