I wouldn't brush with shampoo that would taste terrible and leave a soap residue in your mouth...yuk... I would be best to just get your toothbrush wet and use it without toothpaste until you can get some. It is after all the action of the brushing that removes the plaque and that is what you are after.

No! For one thing, shampoo and toothpaste have different chemical make up and even different pH's (most shampoos are acidic whereas toothpaste is alkali). Tooth past also is abrasive which allows you to scrub off the plaque from your teeth. shampoo does not have this.

Instead of toothpaste you can use baking soda (which used to be a main ingredient in toothpaste anyway).

Actually no that would be a bad decision. In fact despite wonderfull ads you see for toothpaste there are no positive results from it in people over 14 or so years old. It just makes your breath smell nice. So just brush without toothpaste untill you can find that whole dollar for some more.

i'm pretty sure that it's unsafe; i dont think shampoo is intended to be swallowed, with toothpaste, a little bit's ok. also, shampoo has a different purpose than toothpaste, so i probably won't clean your teeth properly

I have a friend that uses bar soap so going by his experience, I would say yes. Shampoo is non toxic so you can try it. It is not going to taste very good though.

A better solution if you have it is to use baking soda. It is actually a very good natural tooth paste.

NO! There is a way to brush your teeth with baking soda, then rinse with mouth wash. Didn't you ever have your mouth washed out with soap as a child? Don't try it!!!!!

this isn't any longer good to offer a bathtub on a daily basis. Our canines get perhaps one or 2 baths a year except they get into some thing (like creek airborne dirt and mud), and that they do no longer stink in any respect. A healthful dogs wouldn't have numerous an objectionable smell. a thorough brushing on a daily basis or so will shop his coat sparkling and glossy and decrease down on the quantity of hair it is shed. too plenty bathing dries the floor and coat. additionally feed a high quality domestic dog/dogs nutrients, and have common vet checkups to ascertain for parasites and such. you ought to use infant toothpaste without fluoride or man made sweetener to sweep his the teeth, however the superb to apply is toothpaste made for canines.
