Ever hear the phrase "you get what you pay for"?

Honey, if you like chocolate, spend a little extra to go to heaven. Oh, but it isn't meant to be EATEN...it is meant to be savored. Let it melt on your tongue, and enjoy the five minutes of bliss.

It isn't brand, sometimes it's mark up (especially at Starbucks) but, mostly it's the cost of the chocolate. Not everyone likes Hersheys and a lot of people are willing to pay for a better quality chocolate, especially in small quantities. Even the cheapest chocolate in the U.S. is imported. There are some chocolates that are hundreds of dollars a pound. That's where Godiva, the least expensive of the high end chocolates, comes in. And, most of the expensive chocolates are hand rolled. Snickers, they are not.

Bottom line is: life is too short to eat cheap chocolate!

It is good but not worth the mark up. That's all about brand. If you live in or near a major city I bet you can find a far superior artisan (boutique) chocolate from an independent seller. In NYC my favorite is "Chocolate Bar" on Hudson Street.

Consider the source.

This is Starbucks we're talking about here!

I'm damn surprised it wasn't $100 or higher.
