I have heard that sit ups are not it. Try jogging 20 miles a day.

You can not actually target any one specific area for fat loss. A major problem with the accumulation of belly fat is alcohol consumption. However, that would only be in the case of more than moderate levels.
The best way to cut weight is to go on a low-fat diet. There are a lot of daily calorie intake calculators available for free on the Internet.
If you have not done sit ups regularly in a while it would be a good start to flattening your core muscles which will pull in your stomach some if the muscles are weak. Be sure to target your obliques some because they also pull in on your stomach muscles. Good luck!

Hi there
Sadly we are not able to 'spot reduce', that is...pick a body part & lose weight only from that area. Your body will lose weight in a pre-designated pattern determined by your genetics. You can certainly increase the amount of exercise that you are doing & watch your calorie intake. Crunches will help to strengthen you abs, however, if you have a layer of body fat over them then they will just stick out more. You could try doing 'the bridge' have a look at this link for more information. http://www.shapefit.com/abs-exercises-exercise-ball-pull-ins.html
Try also to keep your stomach pulled in & be aware of your posture, that can all help to make you appear leaner. I teach this all the time & many of my clients have had great results. Good luck & take care.

just doing sit ups will not help. start by running 10 minutes a day and then slowly increase to 30 minutes a day and also drink a lot. not sugary stuff and eat fruits and veggies and you can loose a lot of weight like this

YES, OF COURSE DOING SIT UPS WILL ALWAYS DO THE TRICK. I TOO HAVE BELLY FAT, BUT EVERYTIME I DO CRUNCHES IT MAKES ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. IT IS PAINFUL WHILE DOING BUT IT ALL WORKS FOR THE BETTER. THE FIRST TIME YOU MAY DO 100, BUT ONCE YOUR BODY GETS USED TO DOING A 100, YOU WILL START TO DO MORE WITHOUT EVEN BEING TIRED. BUT I CAN'T LIE, SCRUNCHES ARE PAINFUL BUT THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW THAT ITS WORKING.

Diet. Cut out the bad carbs and sugar. You can do the sit ups but I'd also do some other kind of aerobic excercise too.

There is no way to target weight loss in any specific area. Diet and exercise will do the job eventually.
