If your house is clean and your cats don't go outside, what you're dealing with is only a trouble-maker or perhaps two. I don't think he can do this legally, but you'll want to look up city ordinances and talk with a lawyer to be sure.

you can always sing by the court and get a legal eviction notice. Then there's that 30 days of awkwardness. If the person has made any threats of violence whatsoever, then you can get a move out order and a restraining order. The offending roommate will have about 30 minutes to pack up and leave. You can do these on the cheap, e.g. do-it-yourself at the court. Takes time, but gets results. Even annoying roommates. This must be taken away without remorse. An effective way of doing this is to take up an interest in the xylophone. They can be rented by the month at nearly any store which sells musical instruments. Once you've gotten one, start to play during every spare moment your roommate has. Make sure they understand that you love the xylophone and you could play nothing in particular on it for hours on end. It will soon become unbearable to continue living in such a way

Check local law and see how many cats you are allowed in that city. How many do you have?

Your landlord has to give you 30 days notice (I'm pretty sure this true for all states, but please check)

I'd look into finding a new mobile home court, if your landlord is doing this after one complaint, and he seems to be shady by what you have said, I wouldn't want to live there any way.

I know what your dealing with a similar situation happened to me. talk to someone in
the police dept, humane society and the city
find out if there is such a law also call the landlords association, I don't see why, if only one person complains and your cats are indoors and not bothering anyone they would make such a big deal-unless your landlord and nosy neighbor are animal haters. good luck to you.

You need to check your Lot lease and know city/county codes for the number of cats allowed in a home. Good Luck

Your local council may have a bylaw about how many cats you can have -- if they do, you have to obey it. If not, I don't think the landlord has any right to tell you what to do. If the Humane Society says you are ok, then I think you are in the clear.

I would check your rental agreement & the mobile home community rules. Your town also might have restrictions on the amount of cats you can have.

I would suggest that you contact your local humane officer, aspca, & mayors office of housing to check your rights.

as long as your cats stay inside I dont think your landlord can do anything about it, they can only dictate your animals if they are outside
we were buying our own house and my mortgagee (an individual) tried to tell us what animals we could have and whether they should be inside or outside- stupid animal haters!
it didn't work

You really need to consult with a local attorney to advise you on what your rights are. There may be ordinances on how many pets you can have, etc.
