no pun intended,but i was a boss over many illegals years ago,some didnt even know who our presadent was,it was all survival

I think it probably varies. Just like among White Anglo Saxons... Just like members of a same family. Some are interested, others would rather watch hockey or football or baseball.
However, people often become interested in politics when something affecting their future or their livelihood is involved. So I would imagine that when there are political discussions regarding immigration, legal or otherwise, immigrants would tend to watch closely.
Apart from that, yes, some are just plain interested in politics and in how governments work - it is a fascinating subject - and others, for some strange reason, are totally bored by it.

Because of immigration issues, it might seem as though those Latinos from Mexico are more concerned about political issues. It's not really true, though--some people of every culture and race are very concerned about political issues - and some are not.
