If my ipod is an older version, can I download videos onto this?

A friend of mine received an ipod with 60gb and it sat around for a long time. I told her I thought about purchasing one and she told me that I can just have hers.

It doesn't look like I can download movies and shows onto this one or at least I'm not seeing this feature. Is there a way that I can possibly do this?

Does your Ipod have a color screen. I would try and download just one video or movie just to see if it can. I have a 60gig Ipod Video and I love watching all my stuff on it. Hope you find out...it would be great to have one.
