George Washington,Abraham Lincoln, John Howland(Signer of Mayflower compact 1620) Joseph Smith, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Plantagenet, Tudor , Norman and Angevin Kings of England,George Bush, richard Nixon,Tom Hanks, Queen Elizabeth II. Many people link to the Howland family John Howland had tons of grandchildren 30+ also with English royalty many people have common ancestry with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln through Eleanor Plantagenet or through the Stuart dynasty in Scotland. Try linking your family to these lines its really cool how it works

I am the sixth cousin twice removed of Herbert Clark Hoover, the 31st President of the United States. I am also the fourth great niece of Collin McKinney, signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. In addition, I'm descended from various royal houses of Europe on both sides, but HUGE numbers of other people are as well. All in all, I don't think I'm going to be inheriting any family fortunes, but it's fun to learn ;-)

1) Charlemagne
2) The Royal House of Stuart of England, Ireland, and Scotland (Mary Queen of Scots, anyone? Anyone? Bueller?)
3) William Wallace's chaplain (I can't remember his name)
4) various German and Frankish kings (descendants from Charlemagne and the Carolignian dynasty)
5) the first Springer, a man who jumped from a castle and lived. Hence the name, Springer
6) Daniel Boone
7) Dr. Murvel C Blair, a well-known Kentucky pediatrician (grandpa)
8) the Celts, only the coolest people in the whole wide world

...and that's only my dad's side!

My half-sister used to be one of the vets on Animal Planet's "Emergency Vets".

As far as genealogy is concerned, I discovered Sir John A. Macdonald, the first Prime Minister of Canada, in my family tree. Granted, Sir John is a fourth cousin, three times removed...but he's there :-)
