LOL, good one.....

Bear in mind in the 1st century both Jews and gentiles were converted. Christianity basically became the new covenant worldwide version of Judaism, except the gentiles didnt have to follow the law except for 4 laws. The Jews (the ones that converted) came to realize they were saved by grace through faith and not works.

The first Christians were Jews, but not all of the Jews accepted Jesus Christ as the Messiah. This is actually part of God's plan because the Jewish people who did not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah had their eyes veiled (they were supernaturally blinded to the fact). Jesus had to die on the cross to redeem mankind. Originally, this covenant was between on God and the Jewish people, but by rejecting Christ the offer of salvation was given to the Gentiles (non-Jewish people). We did not replace the Jewish people as God's chosen people. God has just temporarily turned His attention towards the salvation of the Gentiles. In the endtimes God will turn His full attention back to Jewish people and prove to them that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

Because the Pharisees did not accept Jesus as the Christ, Messiah.

Today's Judaism is descended from phariseeism, one of three Jewish sects at the time of Jesus.
