I used to have this really pretty ruby red rosary with a golden cross. It was my 1st bithday present. I always felt that God was protecting me with his mark while I had it on. But, infoutanetely this girl broke it on purpose and said that "heathens like don't deserve to wear this" I was so furious. My mom tried to fix it but it fell apart again.

I feel safe. I don't feel threatened, I carry my rosary as well as wear a crucifix. It is the right of any one to express themselves religiously. This is one advantage of being an American, our country was founded to preserve and display all kinds of religious freedom of expression. This includes going to Mass or synagogues or for Muslims to pray or wear their traditional garb.

P.S. Rosaries are not to be worn, carry it your pocket or purse, so you can touch it often .

A rosary with a golden cross is nothing more that a string of gems attached to a piece of metal. You see, the thing is, you dont have to wear it to be worthy. Simply have faith thats all it takes.

you don't need a cross to be safe. Lot's of people wear crosses to show they are a Christian, but in Psalms it says angel form a circle of protection around you when you are praying. God will take care of His own. Sorry about your cross, maybe you can find another one you like..

Jesus himself never raised a cross or wore it. It is shame if you believe that the Christ was killed in a cross. Why didn't the cross helped him or protected him

No the cross is just a symbol of your belief. There is no power unless you have had it blessed like rosary beads etc.

I don't wear a cross. I really don't feel like wearing one either. Too much of a temptation to make it an idol.

to anyone who says yes....if you think that you will not be raped cause someone sees a cross your wrong...
if you think a stray bullet will magically reroute itself to avoid you because you are wearing a cross..you are a moron
if you think that you will not be affected by a car accident because of your cross....you are stupid.

I've got a cross tattoo on my arm that reads "I HOPE YOU AND JESUS HAVE IT ALL WORKED OUT." It's a line from a song by one of my favorite Christian metal bands, Bride.
