If adults come from infants, why are there still infants?
To answer your question: Because the monkeys want the lemurs around.

People aren't descended from monkeys. Evolution never stated that at all, and frankly, theists who use that as an excuse to not accept evolution have IQ's slightly above monkeys. We and primates are evolved from a common ape ancestor, not the cute fuzzy things that leap about in the zoo.

The ignorant, closed-minded know-nothings need to educate themselves, and stop using really stupid anti-evolution arguments. This one has been answered a thousand or more times...
Humans are not descended from monkeys -- monkeys (and apes and chimpanzees and yes, lemurs) have a common ancestor, from which they all split hundreds of thousands of years ago. We went our way, they went theirs. Each species came about through natural selection, each with advantages that helped it survive in its environment.
Now that's science.

No one has ever claimed that we descended from monkeys. Observable science, however, shows us that we evolved WITH monkeys from a common ancestor.
Take this opportunity to actually learn about that which you obviously don't understand before you ask another ignorant and flippant question.

Is that sarcasm or not? I really can't tell. I'll look at some of your other questions and see if I can figure it out.
- ha ha, good questions but there's no sense in arguing with religious people because nothing they say is based on logic.

If people are educated and given a chance to contemplate intelligent thoughts, why do they ask such stupid questions?
