anxiety disorder is not just about what you are consciously worrying about. Suppressed issues can still cause the symptoms of anxiety. If you have had your heart function checked and all is normal, then I would say you likely have an anxiety issue and need to see a therapist or a psychiatrist to help you with the root cause and with treatment of the symptoms.

I had the same issues. It turned out that my anxiety was causing me to hyperventilate, which in turn aggravated the asthma I didn't even know I had. The asthma was causing the chest pain to stay far longer than the anxiety, which then increased the anxiety, which aggravated the asthma...and so on in a vicious circle.

I finally went to a bright doctor who suggested a lung test. This helped me discover my asthma. This also gave me excellent biofeedback so I could see for myself how the anxiety and asthma interacted. Today I am able to do breathing and mental relaxation exercises for the anxiety. Any chest pain is relieved with one or two puffs from an inhaler. The combination of these has greatly reduced both my anxiety and my chest pain.

Good luck. I hope this information helps you find peace of mind and body.

Cold, congestion, bronchitis.(worry wears down the immune system) Anyway, YOU stopped worrying, but the ol bod might need to figure it out. Give it another week unless symptoms get worse. Check yourself for short of breath, discolored nails or fingerpads and if the pain is worse when you are active. All these are signs its not what you think and it needs to be checked out. Oh, and my chest will hurt from the rib/vertebra in back out of alignment, as those ribs attach to the sternum directly in front of heart.Good luck.

You are still stressing out about something. Just relax. Sit down and take some deep breathes and calm down. I gets them too a lot that I have to sit myself down somewhere and calm down. What I usually do is sit down prop my feet up and drink some water. You are stressing out and it is not good. Too much anxiety/stress can kill you.

TILL THEN AVOID OILY FOODS, AND REDUCE SALT IN YOUR DIET.
DO SOME YOGA OR SIMPLE AEROBICS,
AND RELAXATION EXERCISES.
DRINK MORE WATER AS MUCH AS YOU CAN SAFELY WITHOUT PROBLEM , AND IT WILL GIVE YOU MORE URINATION , AND IT WILL RELIEVE YOUR PROBLEM,FOR THE SOME TIME.
