Every person deals with their PMS differently and I don't have any children yet, but I am suppose to start my menstrual period pretty soon. I do have a mild PMS and of course have menstrual cramps. I try not to think about anything else besides being relaxed and calm. For me, I like to take warm hot showers in the evening (besides the morning showers I take), cuddle in bed or couch reading a nice book and also, I started drinking warm milk with honey. It tastes so good!! If not, I'll be drinking herbal hot tea you might see in the grocery store near you. Any kind is alright. I think all women should take it easy while they have PMS and is ready to start their Menstrual cycle.

The ABOSULTE BEST thing I ever did was get on low-dose birth control pills (the kind used for hormone therapy) and also avoiding salt and sugar. What a difference! Cut the symptoms down to maybe one or two days rather that 2 weeks!

The birth control pill has helped many of my symptoms either completely go away, or subside quite a bit. I also drink a lot of chammomile, use a heating pad on my back and take ibuprofen for pain.

try cranberry juice, that normally helps me. Umm.. stay away from caffenine and salt, trust me, you won't feel any better after eating it, unless you take some pain medication. Alot of hot teas, like chamomile. I also like sittin in the sun, even if its hot out, I tend to feel better. Honestly I think everyone's different, what may work for my body may not have the same effects.. but of course its worth a try. I hope I helped girl.. take it easy!

Birth control worked for me, and refusing to get out of bed. Lots of chocolate too. I didn't want to go out and spend money on a heating pad to help with cramps, so I let my little 5lb Shih Tzu sleep on my tummy.

For some women, PMSD (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome Disorder) is a REAL problem.
Hormones may be out of whack, especially after having multiple children.
If you are exceedingly depressed, short of temper, quick to anger, binging on junk food, or unable to control your emotions, please see your GYN. You may need low-dose birth control to help calm those raging hormones.

i find that herbal tea works for me, raspberry, chamomile, or peppermint. Other than that I just try to keep busy and not let it interrupt normal life with my two girls.

well i always suggest midol for the cramps and bloating, and stay away from caffiene and chocolate, that usually makes the cramps worse
