PLAYBOY is not very true, but the Bible isn't either. I am a martial artist. Once PLAYBOY had a brief article about martial arts that said Wing Chun has high kicks. Wrong! This rag gave several pages to Michael Bellesiles who made errors galore about guns. He was revealed as a fraud later, but PLAYBOY upheld him. This rag gave Michael Moore chances to spread his lies and told readers to see his trash "Fahrenheit 9/11" before voting. I think the last issue I own has the dumb conspiracy theory that Marilyn Monroe was murdered. Coroner Thomas Noguchi said that is untrue years ago. Can all that match such stuff in the Bible as a 7 day creation 6010 years ago, a world flood in 2350 BC, the sky rolling up like a scroll, both God and the Satan being responsible for David's census, Judas dying by hanging and by falling? You make the call? Both lie too much!

Pornography and the Occult

----- --- ----- --- -----

by Jim J. McCrea

There is a profound level of truth to what attracts people to the
*occult,* but there is an extreme danger at the same time.

That is why the Church forbids dabbling in the occult.

The occult is analogous to *pornography* (which is also
forbidden).

Generally, we do not say that we delve into pornography to
understand beauty better.

Why?

It is because of the nature of pornography.

What is it that makes pornography so alluring, yet so destructive at
the same time?

What is shown there is an exceedingly *brilliant* yet exceedingly
*narrow* reflection of the |||divine beauty.|||

All things on this earth that attract us are but some reflection of the
divine beauty, which really is God Himself.

It is the combination of the brilliance and the narrowness of the
divine reflection that makes pornography so attractive, yet so
destructive.

It is an *isolated* fragment of supreme beauty. Without having the
whole, where the right balance is found, this isolated fragment
tends to unbalance the human psyche and soul.

It is like a steel blade of great strength, yet exceeding narrowness,
that plunges into flesh.

How is the occult similar to this?

The occult is an exceedingly *deep,* yet exceedingly *narrow*
reflection of the |||divine truth,||| which again is God Himself.

It is a fragment of exceedingly deep truth that is separated from
the whole.

The whole is found in a legitimate science where it tends to balance
and enrich the mind.

The fragment (of great depth) tends to unbalance the mind and the
personality.

In fact, the occult can be far more dangerous than pornography,
because a truth, if it is deep enough, brings intellectual pleasure that
far exceeds sexual pleasure.

However, in heaven, where the blessed see infinite truth, goodness,
and beauty - that is God - face to face. Pornography or the occult
will no longer be dangers.

For all the goodness or truth that attracts the human mind about
them, will be seen in God in a pre-eminent whole. As a result, that
vision will render the soul infinitely blessed.

Now, there appears to be a common misconception regarding the religious views of Charles Darwin. First of all, Darwin was never an atheist. While it is true that in his later years he was not religious to any extent, he never entirely discounted the existence of god. In his Autobiography, Darwin says he was a theist by the time he wrote "Origin of Species" and that he believed in an intelligent first cause. However, it was his view that the nature of this "first cause" was something beyond man's vision. The death of his daughter, Annie, on 23 April 1851 was a crushing blow to his religious beliefs, and from this time forward he stopped attending church with his family. It was only after a very long and slow process spanning his entire life that Darwin came to be an agnostic.

Psalm 94:16
Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Romans 9
20-33Who in the world do you think you are to second-guess God? Do you for one moment suppose any of us knows enough to call God into question? Clay doesn't talk back to the fingers that mold it, saying, "Why did you shape me like this?" Isn't it obvious that a potter has a perfect right to shape one lump of clay into a vase for holding flowers and another into a pot for cooking beans? If God needs one style of pottery especially designed to show his angry displeasure and another style carefully crafted to show his glorious goodness, isn't that all right? Either or both happens to Jews, but it also happens to the other people. Hosea put it well:
