First of all, how old is she? If she is in school, or even college, there are free services sometimes offered through school. Otherwise, I'm not sure if psychiatrists or psychologists offer free help. But you could look at other options, such as talking with a religious leader, or a teacher, and ask if they have any ideas of what you should do.

Pretty much all areas have mental health facilities available for treatment either free or on very reduced charges...you are a good aunt for looking after your niece by the way and good luck to the both of you.

Every state/county/city has such a place - though they are usually unadvertised, and hard to find in the phone book. Call your local emergency room - they should have the phone number (so should the cops and firefighters).

Generally, your area 'Community Mental Health' does provide
such services. .

Call the local County offices in your area.

Also, there is help with the local church associated areas. .
You just need to make some calls and search.
