I just purchased a 5 x 8 foot area rug made of olefin. It was rolled up tightly and wrapped around the middle with plastic. There is flattening of the pile where the plastic was, and creases where it was tightly rolled. Will these things ever go away? Will the creases and flattened pile come out after it lays flat for a while and with vacuuming?

It should come out with time and vacuuming. If you feel it is not coming out fast enough you could try getting it cleaned to pull up the pile. If it STILL bothers you then contact the place you bought it from.

I bought a huge area rug from Home Depot and when I finally got it into my house after they delivered it I unrolled it and some moron had gotten pencil lead on it. Like a big line of it. I was so mad but there was no way I could get it back to the store and that was my only option to exchange it. So I had to get out my little spot cleaner and keep going over it. Didnt help that the rug was almost white but not white enough to bleach if needed.

It comes out - it takes a few days and some vacuuming, but it will.
