How do I not gripe at him? and sometimes i think he is mad at me when he is not how do i get over this?

you're griping here. maybe he's mad because he knows you think he is.

Do you gripe? That is really the only answer you have.
And you can only control yourself. You have no control over him. So, I can only say, communication is the key. Ask him how you gripe and ask him to point it out when you do. It will take time to break the habit, but if he is willing, he will probably support you. Again, all about communication.

Dump him, I have a friend that was always like that with his g/f, they are now married and have a publicly horrible marraige and a screwed up 3 year old as a result. If he's always annoyed with you, and seems mad at you most of the time, then he may not be compatible with your personality type, or anyones personality type. Screw him, big ocean, lots and lots and lots of fish. Me? well hell, I like them kind of bitchie....

It is not your right or your job to control him. Sounds as if you're trying to. Accept him as he is.
