there is no lifetime warranty from dyson one year is all you get the motor is about 90 pounds so not cheap you can get a after market motor at a slightly cheaper cost but be sure you are competent with eletrical items before getting involved

i have a working Dyson dc4 sitting in my loft... its available for spares....
only problem is you would have to collect the bits you need... Windsor Berkshire... see the sights while down here...
