Because our police departments are so busy with radar they haven't any time for the real crimes!
Just point and case: I recently sat in a parking lot in front of a major highway while my wife was in an office there. It averaged every forth or fifth driver was on the cell phone while driving! The law needs to be changed so that cell phones have to be in the locked trunk of the car or glove box! People just don't get it! I think they should loose their privilage to drive for 18 months and longer on reoccurring events until they comply with the law! IT IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS THING!!!! Maybe some dead beat politician will read this and get off his *** and do something he was appointed to do besides running around all day collecting "kick back" checks!!!!

I hate them to. A woman (As well) nearly pulled out in front of me at a roundabout whilst on phone. I use a hands free kit or a worst case scenario, put it on loud speak but defiantly no texting as you have to take your eyes off the road.

because the police are to busy making tea with all the speed cameras around they dont have to be out and about so much its rediculous how they get away with it i need my phone but invested in a blutooth earpiece and my phone answers automatically so i can take calls i dont however ring any one while im driving but do feel that talking is much the same as if someone is in the car with you my eyes keep looking and i still concentrate on my driving i only take short calls as i always say im driving make it quick or ring me in say 20 mins etc or i will ring you etc i need to keep in touch while on the road but i will never pick up my phone and attempt to ring or text anyone while driving that for sure is an easy way to lose your concentration
isnt it

Because they are stupid and think they are clever and don't believe the research that tells them that it is dangerous!! They think they are VERY important people and laws don't apply to THEM, only to others.

If she had hit you, I would have ensured that I was complaining of an injury and called the police. I would then have told them that I could clearly see that she was using her hand held mobile phone at the time of the accident and suggest that they seize the phone as evidence of the offence! That would really P*SS her off!!!!

We had trouble with a woman who kept cutting us off in traffic because she was on her phone. When we tapped on the horn to make her aware, she actually held up the phone as if that gave her the right!! It was as if to say, "Can't you see I'm talking?" She was so nasty about it and considered us to be in the wrong. Grrrrrrr!!!!

They are all taking a risk, they think that they won't get caught, its like people stopping on a double yellow line, if there quick the traffic warden won't get them.
