Before you go to bed take a warm bath and then when you're in bed do some deep breathing exercises and relax your muscles starting at the feet. Say: Feet relax, your brain will respond to your command and work your way up and then the arms, fingers, all the while breathing in to a count of 4, and breathing out to a count of four. Just think of your commands and your breath. Get some lavender oil from the pharmacy or GNC or craft store and put a drop on the tip of your nose,
I hope this helps.
And another thing before you take any herbal medicine internally you need to consult with your Pharmacist if you're taking any prescription drugs because some herbal supplement like Valerian may or may not interact with your meds.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

Self-love. Vallerium root. Sleepy Time Tea. Vicodin. Sleeping Pills. Jogging. 2 hours straight of DDR max. One will do and if one does not do the trick... do them all.

Lots of reasons for insomnia, lots of reasons for poor sleep. Have you had a sleep study? Might you have apnea? Do you have a pre-sleep routine? Have you discussed this with a doctor?
