I AM CURRENTLY TRACING MY FAMILY TREE.
I use rootschat. com. 1837online. com, Genes reunited, there are lots of friendly people who will help you.
Rootschat is free and will help you to trace your ancester's.
They do discourage contacting the living because fo respect of privacy, but the use of phone books and electoral roll lists is not.
Hope this is helpful, Terry.

Genes reunited is very popular - I've had a couple of hot matches myself.

that is a tough one.. if you mean you dont know where they might be in the world.. i dont think you can unless you go through a charity that deals with that sort of thing.
