I live in middle of nowhere in west Texas nearest military base is Ft Bliss in El Paso over 230 miles is there a way for me to do actual volunteer work to help our men and women fighting overseas and help out our country since myself can't join for personal health related reasons?

I know of an organization where you can adopt a soldier. You send them letters and supplies etc. They even have a program right now to send Holiday packages. This is something that you can do yourself out of your house, or make it a community project.
