Christians spread the word because they are commanded to do so by Jesus in what is known as the Great Commission, i.e. the order to preach the Gospel to all nations. An order is final, if it comes from God.

While there is authority for believing that those who have never heard the Gospel will be judged according to the amount of light and insight which they had, the fact remains that Jesus tells us that nobody comes to the Father but by Him. While people who hear the Gospel and respond can be assured of salvation, those other people can't. It is not clear what happens to them after death.

God is love. In Him there is no darkness at all. His ways are not subject to criticism by mere mortals. We know that He loves us utterly. That is why Jesus died for us.

John 10:16 Says that God has "Sheep" in other folds. One of our founding leaders wrote that there will be people in heaven that don't even know who Jesus is. God will judge everyone on the "light" that they were given and whether or not they lived up to that light. At least that is what my church teaches. That is not to dismiss Jesus but to say that if we are shown "The Way" and ignore it then we will not go to heaven but for those who never get the chance the will not be sent to hell just because we didn't preach to them.

Anyone who responds to God's Spirit will be saved. God's not looking for ways to keep people out of heaven - he's trying to get them in! Yes, salvation is through Jesus, but those who have never had the chance to know him are not penalized for that. The Spirit is capable of working with them anyway.

As to continuing mission work, though people aren't responsible for what they don't know, I AM responsible for what I do know, and I've been given the command to tell others about Jesus.

People who have not heard of Jesus will not go to hell because how can you go to hell for something that is not your fault. But on the other hand, in this day of modern technology, there are few, if any, who have not heard the gospel. We spread the gospel not just to get people to go to heaven, but to also help them live better lives here on earth. That is the commandment of Christ to his followers.

God has a plan to let everyone know him and his message of salvation.
Through creation, through the stars, they tell the story of the bible. The southern cross for example represents the story of Jesus dying on the cross. The twins, Gemini are the story of Esau and Jacob. I don't have my Abeka Science book to recall the whole story on hand.
I believe people are going to be held accountable to what they did know and if they accepted or rejected him.
For example babies or mentally handicap people who die will be in automatically sent to heaven. Each person to his ability to understand.

Greetings,
People that have not received the word of Jesus are saved through the grace of God through their ignorance of not having heard of Jesus. That does not mean that they have an automatic ticket to heaven as God has instilled into their culture a law of morality. Should they go against this law then they are condemned to go to the lake of fire. So that all should be saved or as many as possible (scince all have sinned) we are commissioned to go out and preach the good news that Jesus preached so that those that are in danger of going to the lake of fire will have a chance to save themselves and repent of their sins and follow the laws and commandments of God.

a work in progress

We shall be judged according to what we know. If you hear about Jesus and reject Him, you do this to your detriment. However, if you have never heard of Him, you will not be judged as though you have. Bear in mind that the Bible says that creation testifies that there is a God and that this God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, so there really is no excuse for anyone. God bless.

I believe that everyone deserves the choice. The Gospel also bring the good news about that God loves us. To me that is so important and such a great pleasure that I want to ell everyone I can that Jesus loves them. I might be the only person who says that to them.

I believe that we are here to learn to love one another. And not just love, but to love each other the same way Jesus loves us.That is why I want to share Gospel.

Actually I think that unless someone has had an absolutely super perfect sin-free life and hadn't heard of Jesus only then would they go to Heaven. But hey, know one really knows...yet
