Especially when you cant stop the normal everyday activities.....for example driving the kids to school, running errands etc etc.....

take some painkillers and drink lots of water although i think thats best for afterwards. I also find it helps to sit in a dark quiet room and sleep for about half an hour and it seems to go down a bit, but it depends if you have the time.

I know my wife hits the caffine hard when she feels one coming on. Also, Excedrin Migraine works for her at the very initial signs. Imotrex is good, too if you are a non-smoker. Lastly, try Cherry Juice as a maintenance thing. I use it to control gout but it also works on Migraines, drink a glass or two every day.

avoidance of triggers, caffeine, tylenol, anti emetic eg phergan, reglan, or compazine. This is a great combo, antiemetic may make you drowsy though, good luck
