Just give him some more time and he will start to come around. Just don't rush into anything to fast and just enjoy his company and be happy. Once that u start to show him that u are different and that ur not the same person he will start to come around and take u to more events and places.

First of all you can't make anyone fall head over heels for you. He has to resolve the issues with his ex before he can commit to you or anyone. He needs to accept that his ex burned him not women in general. It will take work & patience by the both of you to get the relationship where you would like it to be. Good luck.

As much as you want to be kind to him, it is better if you put the pressure on indirectly and in a nice way. Talk about how you are getting older and ready to commit to a long term relationship. Become less available and cause him to wonder if you are dating other men. Don't do anything nasty, just prompt him to think that you are a golden opportunity that will be lost if he does not act soon.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

Agree with "Cary Grant". Give him indirect cues...keep yourself busy and reduce your time with him by 60 to 70 percent. Women fall in love while in a man's presence whilst guys realize they're in love in a woman's absence! Imagine him having to go back to the "how much do you make?" or "what kind of car do you drive" questions from women in bars...he'll prefer to stick with what he knows than venture out into what he doesn't know!!!

Give it time. If your relationship is as strong as you say then eventually he will come around. You can't do one specific thing to repair the damage done by someone else.
