Said something i wish i never?

Question

I've got a date in a couple of days with this guy i met at work. He sent me a txt saying how if i wanted to chance my mind he'd understand. I asked him why he said that and he said because he's an older man etc. I then said 'i like older guys'. I kinda wish i never said that now because i felt it was a stupid thing to say,do you think it was stupid?

dont worry a/b it, i can honestly say guys dont care a/b the little stuff, girls think w/ emotion and guyz w/ logic. hes prob. sittin at home and completly 4-got a/b the text(unless hes a loser w/ no life) while ur out worring a/b if u shoulda said it or not. if ur really worried a/b it and cant get over it then explain what u meant by it through a text. he should understand if u 2 were meant to be. good luck!! I dont see anything wrong with it - Im sure he took it as a compliment - I mean hes older - and you said you like men older!!
If you feel really bad about it why dont you just send him a text now saying something like - hey Im really looking forward to our date.
That will reassure him no ends if you feel you may have upset him and therefore it will put your mind at rest!

No it wasn't stupid at all. He may have just thought, on reflection, that he was a bit old for you, if that was so you reassured him.
However are you sure that was the real reason he gave you the chance to change your mind ??, being older he hasn't already got someone in his life has he?? just a thought,!!!

just explain to him that u dont mind dating him because of his age..(i hope hes not 10 years older than you.) If u honestly do like him, then tell him that u actually like him and that his age isint an issue.

Just explain that you didn't mean that you only like older guys, but that if you liked someone, you wouldn't let age be a problem (with limits though, no cradle or grave snatching!)

If you don't explain or make a joke of it, he will think that you have a 'type' this makes people feel uncomfortable as they feel replaceable if a better model came around.

Tell him what a prat you feel for saying it, he'll think your cute.

You have to remember that even the idiots in the world have feelings. If you do like older guys then your answer is correct. If you are lying just to trick him or make yourself feel better then you are wrong and deserve to be a single, lying, lonely pancake shaped idiot.
