you may have gastro issues when discontinuing aspartame.
aspartame is not addicting however, you dont have to be addicted to have symptoms of withdrawl.

I get dizzy. I can't eat anything with aspartame in it. Give me (real) sugar or give me death!

I would never eat that stuff, they say it is so powerful, it makes a good ant poison.
I don't like chemicals in my food, I'll take good old fashioned sugar any day.
