Four--six hours per week. Aerobics should be done for 30-40 minutes. Stretching and progressive resistance can be 20-30.
That is vigorous. But an adequate basic level would be half of that.
I alternate between cycling and walking or rowing, each day. And for weight training, upper body one day, lower body the next. Stretching every day.
A decent aerobics program would be 30-60 minute walks most every day of the week.
People under 50 can work out increasingly at higher level, to improve endurance and muscle bulk. Over fifty, people generally work at just a level to maintain the3 fitness that they have.
Another formula would be to do weights and stretching twice a week, for about half an hour. And then three hourly sessions of aerobics per week.

Vigorous? You can have a 30 minute cardio session and have this! The ideal is a hour a day for 6 days a week, with one day off to rest.
