There is a limit to what can be brought back here too. It is a very small limit. AND we have to follow that law and go through paperwork process in order to bring plants, pets, and all that stuff. That is a dumbya excuse for illegal immigration.

There would be no need to have a wall, fence, or whatever if they just did things the right way. Follow the rules in the first place and there would have been no arguement about it.

Simple, the quality isn't as good. They have less restrictions on medications and health provisions, so stuff is cheaper. Those "U.S. Citizens" aren't caring about quality. Plus the minimum wage in Mexico is quite different than the US, so the Mexican producers don't have that cost either. Really, the fact that Mexico has cheaper stuff is a response to the lower quality of life there.

The question becomes, can America handle so many immigrants in a short period of time.

There is obviously a gain to having immigrants who are accustomed to a lower quality of life. They are more willing to work for less money is just one example. There are some obvious drawbacks too. They are willing to work for less money, for example (in other words there is a plus and minus side to that.) They also often cost more to educate (learning English on top of everything else.)

Anyway, the question isn't if we should let immigrants in or not, but how many. The problem with illegal immigrants is that they are not conforming to that amount and can consequently damage the country they are immigrating too if there are so many that the drawbacks outweigh the bonuses.

Don't get me wrong, I want to increase the standard of living for Mexicans and so forth. I've lived in Guatemala (not the basically American part either.) I've seen how hard it is, but I know that our economy cannot support all of them either. Wouldn't it be better if help them improve their own country? But the only way we will be able to do that is if we maintain our economic strength.

Because of what the illegal alien invasion has done.... created a rise in medical costs as a result of illegal alien theft.....

Better Quality???? that is a very dubious statement.... the only thing of quality from Mexico is Tequila and Dos Equis.....keep your pets there and your slaves....

Taxes are high on tobacco and alcohol due to government corruption... ie: politicians will steal when ever and where ever they can get away with it.... reminds me of illegal aliens.... every thing they do in the USA is a crime: ie: a continuation of the crime of illegal entry.

Screw bridges.... fair trade is OK, illegal aliens are not OK, they are criminals....

The markup is cheaper in mexico to make it more affordable, and it's really only "cheaper" to americans because the dollar is worth more than the peso.

It's the same damn medicine and alcohol.

But you can't really take many foods, or plants or pets over the border, the INS confiscates those for health and ecological reasons.

sorry charlie, i would never buy meds from Mexico, they are unregulated and dangerous. same goes for food. the FDA in the US a while back caught a shipment of candy and other foods including tuna that had slipped through from Mexico and immediately pulled it from shelves, it contained incredibly high levels of Mercury and other toxic substances. I also prefer to buy my pets from a reputable breeder in the US

Mexico doesn't have the regulations and taxes the US has. Why?

Because Mexico doesn't give a rat's turdcutter about it's people's safety and welfare.
