You can save money by getting your hotel here on yahoo travel and then drive out there. Airfares are crazy high right now. When I computed gas/wear and tear, I still saved 300 bucks by driving me and the wife out there for a week.

Airfares are going to remain there prices, sorry it's not just gas prices that are increasing these costs for flights. It's the fact that airlines are trying to get themselves out of Bankruptcy.
