For the most part if a cat follows you and is always loving up to you then, yes it does trust you. By a cat falling asleep on you its a sign that the cat is comfortable and its also a sign that the cat is able to trust you not to hurt him/her while they sleep. It also shows that they want to bond with you and get to know you more then what they already do. And your body keeps the cat warm.

I believe that if a cat falls asleep on you it has to mean it trusts you. You can feel complimented when a cat does that or any of the other things they do, like purring, kneading, rubbing on you, talking to you. If they don't trust you they are not comfortable enough with you to do those things. Aren't cats awesome!

I would say yes to that question. I have three cats one sleeps with me every night and one once in a while. The third one never does. Also a sign of trust would be when they sleep on their backs with their bellys exposed. This is a complete sign of trust

If you have a cat that falls asleep on you you are a lucky cat owner.
Some cats, at least the ones I've had, take only when they want it and don't give back their love. If they want to be pet, or sit with you it's on their own terms.
I now have a male cat that falls asleep on me and feels very safe and comfortable. He cuddles up as if he were with his mother cat and I think he feels safe, a maternal cat thing.

My cat will fall asleep laying on my stomach or my side, she will cuddle up with me when I'm trying to sleep. To me it means that she trust's me, and that she is also bonding with me. For me its a comfort, I can love on her, and she purrs for me and keeps me warm.

I will not do it if they do not trust you... but it also means you are warm. Cats love a "heated" bed.

Yes. When they "milk" you, or do the thing with their paws back and forth, they see you as their mother. My vet also told me that if they lick your face, they are showing the utmost affection.

Yes, I think so. Their thoughts aren't as complex as ours -- it's perhaps not an intentional compliment -- but yes, they feel that you can be trusted.
