An estimated 500 prisoners in Guantanamo.
Only 10 (yes, ten) charged.
490 remaining prisoners not proven guilty of any crime.

Who is America trying to fool? They're only fooling themselves, pretending that the Bush regime is necessary for world safety? And now the Congress has agreed to Bush' suggestion to allow the prisoners in Guantanamo (and other more or less secret US prisons around the world) to be treated outside of the law. What are laws for? Aren't they supposed to be valid for everyone? Presidents do not have the right to act outside of the law. Bush is none better than Hitler himself. He is absolutely NOT indispensable for the world's safety. In fact, he is the biggest threat to world safety since a meteore whiped out the dinosaurs. When will the American people throw him off his throne? How long will they continue to accept his lies? When is it that the world will finally see Bush's heinous face behind bars?

I don't want Bush to die. I want him to get the same "humane" and "according to the Geneva convention" treatment that he is giving the innocent people in Guantanamo and other prisons. How much longer can Bush get away with this genocide, this Holocaust of muslims?

(I posted this in Religion and Spirituality because this is a busy section.)

I'm with you, the Bush presidency has really hurt the world and is creating the exact thing that it says it wants to destroy.

The sooner we get that lunatic and all his cronies out of there, the safer we'll be from all the lunatics who are blowing crap up all over the place.

I'm not an American but I do follow American politics pretty closely. None of the above will happen as long as the Republicans hold Congress. Hopefully all that will change with the upcoming elections in November. If the Democrats take it, THEN the above can happen. Impeachment proceedings followed by jail, perhaps? We can only hope.

well, ya got to understand that about 1/2 the American public is easily misled by Rovian propaganda so with the help of some voting fraud in Florida and a Republican Supreme Court for the 1st presidential election and some voting fraud in Ohio for the 2nd presidential election G.W Bush was installed in power under false pretenses. and George Bush and his neoCON cronies have lying to and ripping off the American public with an arrogant sense of entitlement unparalleled . it's only just been recently that some of the enthralled American sheeple have been shaking off their fear induced hypnosis, waking up to the fact that they've been duped and raped, that while they've been quaking in the corner scared of terrorists their own government undermines their safety and freedoms for personal financial gains and power lust. and still there is a percentage of Americans that defend the "Torture President". i don't know what it would take to wake such folks up. maybe cattle cars stuffed with "enemy combatants "rumbling through their towns on the way to concentration camps? would they care even then?
some people are slow, very very slow.

**** you liberal commies. Bush may not be the smartest man, but he is the only one with the balls to stand up to these extremists. It is not a coincidence that we have not been attacked in five years. Hell Clinton is the one who got these terrorists rolling. I hate to say it, but the only way it seems some of you will realize the inherant danger we are in will be when they finally succeed in attacking us again. If democrats get their way...God help us, we are in trouble.

BTW: I am not a Christian.
