Don't. Take him/her outside every couple of hours or it will NEVER be housebroken. When you put those pads down in your house you're actually giving a dog permission to go in the house. Then it's that much harder and confusing when they're older and you want them to go outside.

It's a pain at first, but it really doesn't take long if you consistently take them outside at set times, especially after they eat/drink.

That has to be just the maddest thing I have ever heard.And bordering on abuse. For gods sake let your dog be a flipping dog and don't try to make it into a baby.
You HAVE to be American lol. Only they do daft things like putting nappies on their pets.

good question, my mothers dog wont, my 8wk old puppy will because I started him early and said go potty every time he used it.
