Depends if you can afford the $230.00. Actually this is a great situation to teach responsibility and the value of money. If he can earn the money - he can take the course. If not, then school. Does he believe that driving is free? - there's gas, insurance, car maintenance. Again, this is a perfect situation to introduce real life.

properly I stay in NC, no longer confident the position you stay yet right here once you're 16 you will get a bike enable. the version between that and a bike license is the enable helps no passengers. To get the allow you to can take a fifteen question diverse selection try. For the license you could take the written try and the direction which calls for appearing particular initiatives on the bike. some community faculties furnish bike classes which contained in the top in case you're taking and bypass the direction you immediately get your license. they have motorcycles/helmets etc to apply in the course of the direction also. expenses about $2 hundred or so in spite of the indisputable fact that it really is extremely worth it. they are going to prepare you issues about driving you theory you already knew. good success, wish you get a bike!

If he takes drivers ed in school it takes more off insurance. Also if you don't take the drivers ed course in school in most states even if you pass your road test you won't recieve your Full license till hes 17. He would have a juniors license where he can only drive to school and work. I guess it depends where you live. I would check with the schools Driving course and the private school and compare the benifets.

I give little credence to much classwork at school. Too many distractions. I honeslty wouldn't want anyone teaching my kid how to drive but me, except for the paper part of. I'd go for the online course and give him plenty of your personal drive time instruction. The 3 major problems on the road today are distraction, not being aware of surroundings(check your mirrors), and tail-gating. Driving is a full time job. Emphasize that and you'll end up with a safe driver.

My son also took driver's ed outside of his school in order to get his license quicker. There were only six kids in his class at the private driving school, so I believe he got much more attention and practice than he would have gotten in the public school class. Also, since none of his close friends were in the private class with him, he wasn't distracted or trying to be cool.
