What drug is your son on?

I take Strattera 100 mg's daily. It makes me jittery, anxious and my patients is out the door at times (I loose my cool at dumb peeps, something I use to not do). Then a new side effect, migrain headaches which I have anyways. So codeine everyday, which I was taking anyways now I just take more of it. Two of us are on this Strattera (one of my sons and they want yet another one of my sons to take it) which we are told is best for a history of seizures. My one son who takes this drug is dealing with migraines as well.
If your son is diagnosed with ADHD then you probably realize that memory is one of our biggest problems! So the memory loss of marijuana is not going to harm us....
Marijuana is my next step. I am legal to take it. It has to be better then these other drugs? It is not criminal behavior as some peeps say if you get legal and follow the rules.
If you are in Oregon take a look at the site I put the URL for. Even if you are not in my state it will answer some of your questions.
I feel it is best to talk to the people who are there or been there. There is a lot of ignorance out there as far as marijuana goes. Your son needs something! It is common for ADHDers to self medicate. So please get him help, if not marijuana something! Also give him lots of support!
If you want to talk I am here :0)

Several sites I looked at said that marijuana use and ADHD can be cyclical! In other words, a teen with ADHD may use marijuana (and often alcohol) to calm the symptoms.

On the other hand, marijuana use, by itself can also be mistaken for ADHD! I knew an older guy (30 or so) who stopped smoking pot and suddenly, he seemed much smarter and less "loopy"! I never knew the "real" him!

Still other sites say that ADHD can often be a warning sign of later alcohol and drug abuse in teens, so if your child has that diagnosis already, keep a close watch on him/her.

You should also have an honest discussion w/your child as to whether he/she smokes or not and if so, how much. THe ADHD diagnosis may be wrong...and your kid is just smoking too much. Or if the diagnosis is RIGHT, he/she may be "self-medicating" to ease the symptoms. The medication, if any, your child is getting, should be checked. ADHD is often overdiagnosed and usually goes away as a person enters adulthood.

Check w/the child's doctor!

My husband has advert HD and marijuana is the only element that calms him down. whilst he would not smoke at night he cant sit down nonetheless and he will commence cleansing out aircon vents and the attic at 11PM. Its a organic treatment and sedative for him which i admire because of the fact it makes me not prefer to smack him whilst he gets like that. it would desire to be diverse for human beings even nonetheless it helps him way better than some human engineered risky pills.
