We have a 5 month old baby riding in a rear-facing car seat. One of our cars is about to go and we are looking at buying a new (certified used, etc.) vehicle. We want one that is easy to get a car seat in and out of the back seat without bonking our heads everytime. We also want a safe vehicle but no gas guzzlers. Any suggestions?

I had a Mercury Sable (same as Ford Taurus) for a while between having my first and second children. It had plenty of room for getting the carset in and out and I really loved it. But I'm not sure what kind of gas milege it got. Then after I had my second we ended up getting a mini van, but it took us 3 tries to get one I really liked. Now we have a Chrysler Voyager (same as Dodge Caravan) and I really love it, then only thing I would change is I would want to upgrade and get the stow and go seating. If I have more than 4 kids I might move up and get a Suburban next, I like how the new ones look. Anyway, if you are looking for a car consider the Ford Taurus.

Since you dont want a gas guzzler, I'm guessing you're looking for a car.

Newer Nissan Altimas are fairly roomy in the back seat for car seats. Also, the new Chevy Equinox gets good gas mileage and has lots of room.

Good luck in your search.

Without a doubt, purchase a Honda. They are good long term vehicles that hold their value and are incredibly safe! I had a civic 2-door and bought a car seat with a dock, that way I can easily load and my daughter; I believe most carseats are like this now? Anyways, it was still really easy with a civic, and now I have a four door accord and its even better! Love hondas, not american, but definitely worth your bucks!

I always swore I would never drive a mini-van, but after I had a baby, we rented one for the weekend and it was amazing. If the doors slide open you can actually step in to get the baby in and out. There's room for all that baby stuff you have to take with you when you go anywhere. I drove one for about six years until my kids were older and I loved it. I don't think there are any cars more convenient.

Try the new kia sportage. I just bought one, and it's an awesome vehicle. It has plenty of room for our family of three, and yet it is not too big. The back seats have lots of leg room, and recline. It gets about 19 mpg in the city, and 25 mpg on the highway. It's very affordable, I bought mine in California for just under 20,000. new. I bought the deluxe edition, with all the extras including a sunroof. Try it, you'll love it.

I even have fed my son his bottle collectively as he became into in his motor vehicle seat and collectively as the vehicle became into shifting , i think of he became into approximately 3 months previous whilst we first did and back after that. would desire to i upload that i became into sitting beside him keeping the bottle, i for my area would not reccomend you PROPPING a bottle up as some human beings above have reported. It in simple terms would not sound risk-free.
