Twitching over the eye or of the eyelid is often brought on by stress and fatigue. The brain is "tired" and is sending haphazard sognals to different parts of the body. You need to rest.

I got kicked in the face and my eye lid split open a few years ago. I twitched and teared almost incessantly for like a year. Since then, I only twitch when I'm really stressed out. Try a hot bath, and less caffeine.

It doesnt matter if you have contacts or allergies. My mother and I have the same twitch. Its actually natural. What happens is, if thers is stress or tension during restlessness, your body sends out a signal, and any part of your body can twitch. Your body just had an impuse that needed to go somewere. It is random, and if you are sleepy or notice someone around you, you can see just some slight movement, it is just your brain. Nothing wrong or deadly.

ya it could be sleeplessness or allergies, theres a good chance it will go away with in 3 days.

p.s. less likely to be the contacts, wich would cause twiching and irratation of the eye area but not as high as the brow.

take a nice warm shower and a good nights sleep, if its still twiching in the morning try ice....if it keeps up past 4 days see a doc

You need to sleep mate! I often have this. I am a teacher and work most of the day, on and off the computer, i have hayfever occasionally and i wear contacts too.

Sleep is the only cure for me.

Good luck.
