When you've been in a serious, committed relationship, it's hard to move on, because you're used to the person you've been with for so long. And I'm sure there are still some type of feelings left over from the previous relationship, whether it's anger, confusion, etc. Just keep your head up, and remember not to be vulnerable!! Your fresh out of a relationship, you need time to heal and to know what you really want in a relationship...you're still young!

Ahhh.......There are a few reasons why this happens.
1. Our hearts are still with the other person.
2. Most of us hate having to start over and starting a new relationship is a pain in the rear end. Most of the time you need to go through a bunch before you even find someone you want to speak to.

it's because rejection and loss is Detrimental to your feelings of confidence and self worth. u have to consciously make an effort to REBUILD it...so much so that you are strong, happy, confident, positive, and loving life by yourself......did u know the happier, prettier, confident u are, the more attractive u are to other people? and the more u can Contribute to a relationship, any relationship? family, friends, boyfriend, marriage?? it is Worth it to work on yourself until u feel that way about yourself.. u are doing it for YOU and u are doing it for your Future Boyfriend. when u think of a "dream date", do u imagine a shy, scared, unconfident mate? or is he good looking, confident, happy, healthy and positive?
then why would any man seek out someone who is shy, scared, unconfident?? you have to become a Great person, inside and out, and know your self worth. that way u can have respect for yourself, others, and expect it from other people. so if someone treated u badly, isntead of feeling rejected, u will know that person is Not Worth Your Time. i'm not talking about being cocky either, i'm talking about Self Worth, and keepnig Positive, Healthy, Happy people around u, and filtering out the negatives. :) u can do it, just takes time.
my advice to u would be to first work on ur appearance; take care of ur body, exercise, take care of ur skin and hair, find new flattering clothes..the better u Look, the better u feel about urself. then, work on your mind: study, read more, learn more, keep an open mind, get new hobbies. excel at things. be able to understand and think on your own, so that u can discuss w/ others. then, work on your relationship with family, friends, and eventually strangers. be able to meet friends of friends and keep up conversations with Anyone, and u will start just meeting people in general, just as friends! and thru that, u will find people who may be "date worthy"..
as u see, the end result is to find a good boyfriend, but the whole thing, beginning to end, starts with YOU: be the best woman u can be, and u will be a great catch to any man. and that will help u attract a great catch. good luck~

Because you made an emotional investment in your partner. And it is hard to simply ignore all the time and emotions that you invest into a relationship and and just start right up with another.
Give yourself some space, start going back out with single friends just for fun and don't think about getting into another relationship, and before you know it you'll be in another. Just don't go out looking for it and it will come to you.

pick up and move on. starting now. i know it's hard but dont dwell on it. clean up your room go through your papers. decide if you need a new job or change classes or both. if you are gaining weight start walking with music (fast) no slow songs. read books go to library keep occupied that is what i did. IT WORKS :) CRY IF NEEDED. BUT DONT LET IT TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE.

Because people weren't meant to have throw-away relationships. We were never meant to separate from our mates. It goes against what is natural for us.
And starting again means finally facing your loss and giving up for good.
