I dated 'X' for 5 years. Recently broke it off because thigns never made it to the next level. Been single since about Feb.
I finally have a new guy in my life that has serious marriage potential. I still talk to my ex often as a friend and now hes freaking out and having panic attacks because of my new relationship. What can i do??

You need to go out with this person. Your x can get mad but it's not his life. If he is so mad he can go find a girl to date himself. Yall are over so find another person!

Remember he is a EX for a reason. You have moved on, what you need to do is stop talking to him. You have no obligation to him anymore, and if he is getting these attacks then that is on him. He doesn't need to know anything about you nor your new life or man. If you choose to keep calling him you are only going to make it worse for you and him.

I'm in the same boat hunny...except that mine won't talk to me or even look at me. Don't worry about your "X" if it is going to upset the new relationship. Sometimes you have to be selfish...and if you ever figure it out, let me know! Good luck!
