Hi no 8 stone is by far not fat at all. and if your mate weighs 4 stone then she may have a problem but she might fill out when she is older. Some of my mates were really skinny but i never really asked about there weight. You should really be worring about you weight at the moment and you are perfectly fine. So just enjoy life and forget about how much you way as you are young and your body shae has yet to take form. I was always slim with no curves what so ever, i thought i wouldnt change but when i got to 16 i started to get my curves and i like them. People come in all different sizes so dont compare your self. Be you

Yes she sounds anorexic. You could check out her BMI. Body Mass index maps the individual's height against their weight. A body mass index of 16 or less indicates Anorexia. Normal is 21-25. 25-30 is slightly overweight, 30-35 is overweight, 36+ is obese.

4stone sounds incredibly low, but perhaps she's incredibly short. No, you are not fat. If you are 3ft, perhaps you're a little on the chubby side, but I'm guessing you're at least 4ft tall! You can be reassured by your BMI, but please do not obsess about this.

Obsessing over weigjht can be incredibly detrimental to a teenager's physical and emotional wellbeing. Believe me. I am a Psychology student and have both conducted a study on this matter, and known people with eating disorders. It's not worth venturing down that path. be happy with who and what you are.

If you are concerned about your friend and believe she may have anorexia/bulimia nervosa (does she eat in front of you, or do you suspect she vomits after eating?) let a trusted adult know asap. The earlier these thinsg are caught, the less damage done to your friend long-term.

First off, google BMI- it is a medically recognised way of establishing height and weight ratios.
Secondly, adolescence plays havoc with everyones body, in many different ways. Never try and compare your body to anyone else's- focus on being healthy rather than competing with others.
Finally, 14 and 4stone? My neice is 8 and weights in at just under that and she's like a rake. It doesn't sound healthy. Check out

Good luck

8 stone? Listen girl, you are NOT fat. I was way past that at the age of 14 and wasn't what you'd call fat.

You and your mate really ought to seek help.

Your mate must be really short, or else she's starving herself to death.

8 stone=112 pounds
4 stone= 56 pounds

Am I right?

First of all your weight sounds fine, although I have no idea how tall you are, but if you are 5ft or over, you are ideal. As for your friend, unless she is under 4ft, then she is seriously underweight and needs professional help! Please tell a teacher or her parents, don't leave this to get out of hand. Take care.

Are you jealous of her or something? If she's the correct height for her age then she's got serious problems, I can't remember when I was four stone!
