"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. "

Does this mean faith is what causes us to be saved?

Christians have been saved by grace. The grace of God is the source of salvation; faith is the channel, not the cause. God alone saves. Salvation never originates in the efforts of people; it always arises out of the lovingkindness of God. Truly, "salvation is of the LORD" (Jon. 2:9). The past tense of the verb saved in this passage indicates that the believer's salvation has already occurred in the past, at the Cross. the gift of God: We cannot do anything to earn our salvation. Some suggest that the gift of God modifies the word faith in this verse. Thus Paul is saying that even our belief in God does not originate in ourselves. This too is a gift, so no one can take in pride in their position as a Christian. Everything is received from our merciful and gracious Father.

Faith is the hope that is not being seen and make us on the go what lies ahead. For if we have seen and done what is faith for. It reminds me of the rich man when he ask the Lord how he can enter the heaven when he has done all good things, the Lord said dispose your wealth and follow me. And the rich man thinking that he got wealth, he went away.

For anything that we have in the world is not permanent and will passed away. Believing to Jesus then will save us and everything will follow.

Yes. We have faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior, a gift of God for the blood sacrifice for our sins in order that we are purified for eternal life in His presence. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ, the atonement for our sins; past, present, and future in, in fact, our only means of salvation. We cannot be saved by our own works, a judgment of good or bad, because we are not without sin. There is nothing we can do that would equal the sacrifice of blood, wherein is the life, of purity. This sacrifice, as Jesus Christ, was provided by God, for His Glory, in His Mercy, by His Grace.

Yes. And the good news is, the Bible says that God has delivered to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). That means that we all have the measure that we need to reach out to Him (Jeremiah 29:13), calling on the name of the Lord to be saved (Acts 2:21, Romans 10:13).

Just another bible contradiction... there are multiple passages that say you're saved by faith, and there are also multiple passages that say you're saved through your works.

Matthew 16:27 - "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works".

Revelation 20:12-13 - "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."

Faith in the grace of God allows us into heaven , not good works, is what this verse is saying.

It means that "god" has already saved us. (From what, it does not say) Not, we have saved ourselves through our actions.

This passage crushes the entire premise of modern Christianity that asserts we must act according to certain rules and meet certain conditions to be saved. Anyways...

I think the God creature had hope for humans and intervened on our behalf. We are expected to evolve.

Yes it does. Unfortunately it is contradicted by:
Jeremiah 17:10
I the Lord ... give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Matthew 12:37
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

You must believe in unseen things by faith in order to be saved.
