You should not be feeding your dog steak. Dogs cannot digest beef products as well as they can chicken and other poultry. If you are going to feed your dog a home cooked diet you really should do more research into the proper formulas to use.

Dogs fed exclusively beef will not thrive like those fed chicken (or lamb if they are allergic to chicken).

You need to plan this out a little bit better then you have so I would recommend checking out some reputable websites and books.

However, I would congratulate you on you effort to feed a better quality diet vs typical commercial foods. You just need to understand that there is a lot of work that goes into it.

Wild dogs and dog types like wolves don't eat the steak cuts on their kills because there isn't enough nutrition in steak to make it worth while. They go for the offal, the innards, all that stuff because that's where the nutrients are. In getting to that, they also eat the hair, skin, bone, sinew, and fur - which also form an important part of their diet.
Steak and rice is not a good diet for a dog.
Raw meaty marrowbones and preservative-free dry dog biscuits with olive oil and raw eggs once a week is fine.

If you are wanting to feed real food and not dog food you need to be feeding something like the BARF diet. That is bones and raw food diet.
Google BARF diet for dogs and you will find tons of great information on how to properly feed your dog so he/she has all the right things they need to be healthy

You cannot feed that as a complete diet. IT lacks the vitamins and minerals that dogs need. Either feed a good dry also, or look up one of the raw/holistic diets and add the proper vitamin and minerals.

i would be careful about that type of diet. rice tends to "bloat" dogs, and chicken is the best type of meat for them. i fed my Great Dane (130lbs) purina puppy chow, large breed, until he was at least 1 yr. old. when i switched to dog chow, i still fed him purina. i researched and asked several vets, and they said it was as good as any on the market, even the more expensive ones. it's mostly chicken products, which is best for them. i bought a large scoop at walmart, and fed him 2 daily. he never ate more than he wanted, but watch her until you make sure she's the same way. maybe give her one small scoop twice daily until you see how her weight does.
