I have chemical food poisoning after drinking fruit juice. The vomiting has passed, but stomach is still severely uncomfortable. Have no appetite & struggled keeping water in. Have very little urine production, but skin is still elastic. Any advise?

There are different kinds of chemicals you can poison yourself with. Effects on the body and tissues are differents. Therefore, different treatments. Therefore, it is best if you stop asking us and go see a doctor immediately, or contact your local poison control center.

You'll have to stay hydrated; so warm water might be your best bet. You don't have to eat until your appetite is back. Saltine's or dried white bread is usually the first food that you'll be able to hold down.

Activated wood charcoal. You can purchase it at WalMart or any pharmacy without a prescription. Or if you aren't able to get to the store, you can make it yourself providing you have a place you can build a fire safely. Take some tender, dried grass or toilet paper, small twigs and lite a fire, keep adding bigger sticks of wood until you have a nice fire. Add larger pieces about 3 to 4 inches in diameter and allow it to burn down until you have some nice big red coals. If you have some tongs or even a long stick flip/get the coals out and put them in a iron skillet or such and place a lid on it to smother the coals. Once the coals are cool, you can smash them into a powder or eat small chunks. For intestinal distress a person should take1 to 2 teaspoons(depending on severity)in 1 cup of water or juice drink/consume 3 times a day while symptoms persist. Notice for internal distress take only up to 6 teaspoons(10 grams).
For acute poisoning take mix 12 level tablespoons(60 grams) in a 8 ounce glass of water. Drink entire contents of the glass after mixing. For children use 6 level tablespoons(30 grams) in 4 ounce glass of water.
If you are taking other drugs activated charcoal may remove them from your body. Remember to replenish your vitamins and minerals as this will remove them from your body.
Do not use on semi conscious or unconscious persons. Do not use if you have just take ipecac syrup and have NOT vomited. Once vomited go ahead with treatment.
This remedy even stops cyanide poisoning.

i had a really bad case of food poising and the effects just wouldnt' go away, and my doctor prescribed antibiotics that worked really quickly. So, if it's really bad, go to your doctor, if not, wait it out and your body will heal itself....drink lots of liquids too to flush out your system.

Instead of water get something that will replace your electrolites, like gatorade or pedialite. Then smoke a big fat blunt so you get the munchies...lol

tHERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO BUT try to drink. Warm sprite, saltine crackers. You will throw up, but you need to keep drinking or you will dehydrate. Gatorade will help too. Just remember, you will throw up, but you need to have something to throw up.
