I just got back fromt he campus docter and they said I had tonsillitis...My tonsils are huge and there is a biump one that i guess they said was bleeding, it's hurts so badly 2 swallow but i keep having to cause the bump is hitting my gag reflex. I currently have a temperture of 101.6
I have a test on wednesday and i really want to 2 get batter soon. the docter said it could turn into strep or mono.
I need to study with others is it safe for them?
Not that I want too at all but do u think if i get someone they would get it?
I made out with a boy with a relitivly new lip ring could that have caused it?
What should i do 2 help heel my tonsils faster and not catch anything else, If i have mono my life would be over...

Stay in bed, rest, drink pleaty of liquids. You will have to let the tonsilitis run it's course. You will need to stay away from people because your immune system is down.
You more than likely got your tonsilitis from an airborne germ and not from the boy you kissed
I dont see why your life would be over if you have mono, it's just a disease and lots of people get it. It's only called the "kissing disease" because you can get it from drinking from cups of people that have it or eating from their utensils.
Stop worrying so much and just rest.

Honey if you get mono your life will not be over- you can get over that. I got it and I am not out doing a lot of kissy face either-it can be contacted by drinking after someone or even on the water fountain! You are young and I suggest that you get those tonsils out as soon as you can if they are that badly infected you Will not get a lot bettter until you do! Stay home in bed and rest and get yourself taken care of . I also have been battling the shingles since but you are younger you are not likely to get them -they are really bad. I had my toncils taken out when I was 18 and I felt much better before long! The Penicellin should make you all better-when we get sick every thing just goes all backwards on us -take care and rest-then check about getting the toncils removed Take your penicllin as your Dr. told your and get plenty of rest-go back for your checkup-GET WELL REAL SOON-drink plenty of fluids and let the study go until you are well! You are such a good and smart person! Drink bottled not from the fountain! TAKE CARE OF YOU!

Its people like you who spread sicknessess to weak bodies like me and then Im out in the hospital for weeks.
If the doctor tells you that you are contagious he means it. Stay in your room, email your teacher im sure he/she will understand if you email them way early before the test and tell them your situsation. IF not then only go to that one class to take the test and go back to your room.
If you do not take care of yourself this sickness that you have can help other bacteria enter your system and before you know it you will have to seek hospitilization b/c your tonsils nad larynix are severly damaged and need surgery.

Tonsilitis is NOT contagious...it's an infection in your tonsils. however, it will make you really susiptible to other people's illnessess so i would stay away from other sick people.
As far as healing them...you should just get them removed...but if not, drink lots of warm liquids, take vitamin C and wait it out.

You want to sweat. Drink lots of tea (non-caffeinated), cover up, and sweat it out. That always helps me.
