I hate to be the one to tell you this but zani bars is slang for Xanax(alprazolam) which is a very strong sedative perscription drug that is very often abused. The largest xanax pill the company makes is 2mg (sounds small but this is a very potent drug and 2mg is enough to make an average person pass out) anyways the 2mg ones are often called zani bars or xanax bars because they come in a long rectangular shape. You can see a picture here:

There is also more information about this drug here:

If I was you I would be very careful how you handle the situation, not only is Xanax highly addictive but its also capable of causing fatal overdoses if to much is taken. It's also common for people to drink alcohol on top of these pills which enhances the effect by quite a bit. Good luck to you

Pogo is right. You need to check with the kids ASAP. That stuff is highly dangerous. I used to work in the bar business for a long time (used to which is why I wasn't familiar with the term) and saw how that crap can really mess people up. I'm glad that you kept your ears open and asked this question. It helped to educate not only you, but myself as well, the mother of an 11 year old.

I googled it and came up with a myspace web page that talked about it as if it were a sort of drug...no further info. Tried urban dictionary, didn't get an answer. Sounds like something you should have a ctjm over with the kids.

Do you mean that you meant the word "mean" in its original meaning or are you too mean to meet my mean standards? Oh, I'm going to start moaning about your mixing up all those m-words...
