Just tell them that you will increase your caloric intake (and do it) but seriously it sounds that there could be something deeper in this, like some sort of eating disorder or compulsive excercising.

You won't lose weight unless you are burning more calories than you are consuming. So make sure you are eating enough calories per day, ie between 1,800 and 2,000 calories daily. Also spinning will add muscle, so you may actually gain weight, but in muscle mass, as opposed to fat. However, your weight is pretty low, so I understand their concern. Maybe you just have a very small frame and high metabolism. Just make sure you don't overdo the spinning and if you notice you are losing weight, then increase your calorie intake. There is certainly nothing wrong with keeping fit and toned. Take care : )

I take it you are the daughter of the post I have just answered, same answer applies, if you start spinning make sure you increase your food intake to cover the extra energy expenditure, you do not need to lose any weight, if anything a slight increase would not hurt, if you do this through eating the right foods and weight training it would not go on as fat, as a rough guide you could comfortably put on 20lb, a personal trainer could help.

You sound like you are very light for your height, but if you want to do spin to keep fit as long as you eat plenty of healthy food it should be fine. Just make sure your weight doesn't drop.

They are right. You shouldn't be loosing weight. But exercise is very good for you. You must make sure that you increase your daily calorie intake, but not with cream cakes or the like! Just more healthy food.

wow, real cultural problems here with terminology. Don't know how many pounds are in a "stone", and have no clue what you mean by "spinning". However, you might want to consider that your parents know you very well, they probably have your best interests in mind, and you might actually want to listen to them.

well spinning is pretty intense and i would only recommend it for someone who wanted to burn loads of calories and loose weight. try something not as intense like a normal aerobic class and see how you get on because by the sounds of it j=you just want to keep fit and not loose wieght

You are very slim already, don't start spinning. Eat some lard or your legs will snap when the weather turns cold.
