I seem to recall stats showing women are more religious.

IMHO, the reason for this is that men's brains have a greater ability to segregate concepts into little boxes, whereas women tend to think more holistically. Men, on average, can more readily analyze religious concepts independent of the emotional consequences.

That isn't to say women are incapable of doing this, it's just harder for them on average. The holistic thinking approach has other advantages.

I think generally speaking, that women are more sensitive to the things of The Holy Spirit than men.

I heard an evangelist say that God said that He put Adam into a deep sleep and made Eve. The Bible doesn't say that man ever came out of that deep sleep. This is why women are help mates!

Women are more "spiritual."
But -- men picked up the ball and used religion as a way of controlling women and other men. Sad.

women. men are more self sufficent, girls are more emotional and hormonal, they feel they need something out there to guide them. where men dont stop for directions women do type thing. religion is for the weak minded. anyone in a religion obviously hasnt ever had a mind of their own. they are afraid to ask questions to wonder. they listen to their pastor, learn what he teaches, and ignores the rest of the bible. they dont better themselves with the bible. its interesting when i make a point referencing the bible how many christians WONT respond with an answer other then "you need jesus"

That's actually a very different sort of question.

Men like religion. Women have deeper faith. Men like structure. Women like free form.

Men may like going to services more, but spend very little time in individual prayer. Women tend to spend more time in prayer.

It's just one of those things that makes us different. Women are more in touch with their feelings. Which makes offering their feelings up to God easier. Men like to deny they have feelings.

Women are more religious because some men don't have backbones. Christianity and Islam show it alot. Most men lack morality and are weak because of their upbringing.

women have a tendency to be more religious because they know a thing or two about relying on someone other than themselves. Men like to be more self sufficient and therefore have a harder time "Relying on God".

men because "women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a women to speak in church." 1 Corinthians 14:34

can you believe it says that?
