Yeah, its okay. Sex today isn't as safe as it was many years ago - That's the first thing. Second, why should you worry about whether or not people respect you for being a virgin? It's none of their business anyway - especially if they haven't bought you a ring! And finally, if you do want to remain a virgin and wait, don't put yourself in a position where you are tempting others or "leading them on". Find a good person who honest about his or her feelings and who isn't into rushing. AND DON'T TRUST EVERYBODY WHO SAYS THAT THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN RUSHING - no, not everybody respects that idea.

The reason many people don't respect it because they are either greedy for sex, lustful, or think that "what if you do wait? So what? You could be in for disappointment. You may wait and wait and wait and then get married to someone you don't like or to someone you wish you'd never met. And you've waited for nothing. I wish I had waited, but it doesn't bother me that I didn't.

Do the right thing: Go with how YOU FEEL. Wait if that's what you want to do and don't let anyone talk you out of it.

Absolutely Yes! Never doubt your decision about this question ever. Have you ever seen a guy's face when he asks a girl he likes if she is a virgin and she says yes compared to when he asks an actual virgin. The one for you will be very happy that you waited for him. Forget the peer pressure. Not all people are willing to give it up like that. And if they are, at one point or anothet they regret doing it that way. Remember, when Jessica Simpson was getting married to Nick Lachey she admitted to being a virgin, what was the country's response? The guys couldn't believe that a sweet looking thang like her was still a virgin and all the women in the world looked up to her.Yes, they are now divorced but the fact remains that she kept herself and she was not stereotyped as a Britney Spades or Christina Aguillera.

From my own experience even though I enjoyed my first time, I've regretted doing it before the great wedding day. So kudos to you. Keep It Up! It will pay off in the end.

I guess it depends on the people. I find it that some guys are like wow you are keeping yourself and they seem to respect you. Other guys really think that it is dumb but then why do you want a guy who sleeps around? When it comes to the health factor, I worked in a doctors office before and I've seen to much. Too many people have STD's out there, more than you would suspect. On the emotional issue, I think its romantic to tell your husband that you're his first and then you have something to share and learn together thats both new. When something is new to both parties in a committed relationship you know that one can't back out easily if something goes wrong and its an adventure that you can take time to explore. Hope this helps.
Cheers

You are doing the right thing. Being pressured into things is not good. waiting will make you stronger and when you end up marrying that special someone, it will be soo much better. virginity is not a bad thing and having the courage to say no is a great thing. good luck, you have the right mind set about this, you shouldn't have to worry.

Yes, they do. Please wait. It would be so nice to get married in white, being pure and chaste! Keep your chin up and don't let anyone tell you different!! This is very good that you wish to wait. Hormones do go crazy, but your mind must have control over your raging hormones. So keep your mind in control until you are ready to marry! That has been the best advice I received when I was younger!! Keep it up, you're doing a great job!

Yeah, some will respect your choice to wait and others will not. But you have to do what feels right for you.
