I'm traveling with my hubby and two sons next Monday. We're flying from Calgary, arriving in TO at 7:45 pm at terminal 1, then flying out of terminal 2 headed to Orlando at 8:55pm. I'm concerned about the connection time - is 70 minutes long enough to change terminals, retrieve our baggage from the first flight, go through US customs and be on the plane in time for the second flight?? Has anyone personally taken this flight in the past and can offer advice?
Thanks!

re: our luggage... I've already confirmed with Air Canada that we do have to retrieve it and recheck it and go through US customs in TO, not Calgary - the policy is such that a traveler msut clear US customs in their last Canadian city. So yah... we're definitely cutting it a little tight! Yikes!

I believe there's a shuttle bus that can take you from Terminal 1 to 2, which takes about 5 minutes.

I've never took this flight, but I went from one terminal to another. It took about 5 minutes on a bus, which goes pretty frequently. I believe 70 minutes will be enough for you to get on the second plane.

Good luck!!

You'll go through US customs in Calgary, as your luggage will be tagged for Orlando and not Toronto (there is a very good possibility that your luggage will take a different plane than you do!)

I'm thinking you don't fly much. :o)

It's plenty of time. There are (free) shuttles to take you and the family to the other terminal, and they run very regularly. The Terminals are not that far apart. If it is a connection flight, your bags get moved over directly - you don't retrieve them yourself.

Your luggage will go straight to your destination. Yes, this will be enough time. Be sure when you get off the plane in Pearson airport that you ask for directions to ensure no wasted time on a bus that isn;t going where you need to be. Enjoy your trip!
