I once saw a reading in the bible about tattoos.But it didnt say anything like they were bad or not to tattoo yourself. I was wondering if anyone knew what the reading is or the book?

It does talk in the old testament about marking your body. Do an internet search on "what does the bible say about tattoos" and you will find the reference.

Yes, in Leviticus...19:28. But let me tell you something. I says; 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am Lord.' But you know, that when girls get their ears pierced, it is the same thing (I have my ears done also). And, my step-dad has tattoos. I don't really think that they are bad, just don't brand yourself.

I don't know the reference, but I just have to laugh when I see someone with many tattoos. I just picture them in 40 years when everything is sagging and you have to stretch out the skin to see the picture! LOL!!!

The Bible warns against them. It is in the law in Leviticus or Deuteronomy.

I do not recall that in the bible but I can tell you that your body is a temple and you are to treat it as such.

Something about how you must not place marks or holes in your skin. Can't say where it came from though.
